Founded in 1991 as SportsCover Direct, Starpeak Insurance Solutions is the new company name under which the SportsCover Direct and Protectivity business-facing and consumer brands will continue to operate. As Managing Director, Julian remains actively involved in all aspects of the company's operations, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Julian holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Bristol.

Julian’s Engineering background and IT expertise coupled with his long-standing understanding of consumer insurance products has enabled the business to be highly innovative and efficient whilst gathering and analysing high quality data enabling informed decision making to underpin the business.

Andy Brownsell is Commercial Director of Starpeak. Andy joined the business twenty years ago from a sports background and brought his knowledge and expertise to help build the company to become the successful online insurance business it is today. Founded in 1991 as SportsCover Direct, Starpeak Insurance Solutions is the new parent company name under which the SportsCover Direct and Protectivity business-facing and consumer brands will continue to operate. With a career spanning nearly two decades in the insurance industry, Andy has established himself as a dynamic leader with a profound understanding of the commercial landscape. In his role, Andy plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's overall business direction, leading the charge of the business’s growth and expansion.

Andy Pilgrim is Technical Director of Starpeak Insurance Solutions, where he has been an integral part of the team since 2016. With a career spanning nearly two decades, Andy has a wealth of experience in bespoke business systems. Andy specialises in harnessing the power of Microsoft technologies to create innovative and tailored solutions and his expertise extends to developing intricate systems specifically designed for insurers and intermediaries. Founded in 1991 as SportsCover Direct, Starpeak Insurance Solutions is the new company name under which the SportsCover Direct and Protectivity business-facing and consumer brands will continue to operate. In his role as Technical Director, Andy has the responsibility of spearheading technological advancements within the organisation, including overseeing the development of eCommerce and back-office systems that are integral to Starpeak’s continued growth and innovation.
